"The Street Where
Two Suburbs Meet"

Facilities Available at our Apartments

Each suite is a reflection of the bold, artistic and individual character of the Newtown/King Street Precint.
Each is furnished in the mode of Sydney’s upscale lifestyle, and features open-plan lounge and dining areas, well-equipped kitchens with European appliances, as well as internal laundry; with combined washing/drying machines.

Security, Comfort, Independence & Convenience

Each apartment has a fully private and independent entrance secured with proximity card digital locks

Burning Log Gas Fire

Each apartment has Regency Burning Log Gas Fires. These advance heaters does not affect air quality. They draw air down from the top of the chimney and sends burnt gas out the same way. IE if it is a cold night you can leave the heater on without the air becoming at all ‘stuffy’. The gas fire has its own fan which helps spread the warmth. The inverter system air conditioners in each apartment can also be used to warm the apartment in winter as well as cooling in Summer.

Location is Critical

Located in Sydney's cultural heartland, Newtown, on Golden Grove Street where two suburbs meet, with odd numbered houses being in Newtown and even numbered houses, (we are *30), being in Darlington. We are walking distance from Sydney University, Carriageworks and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and only minutes from the CBD, Newton Darlington Suites is the ideal choice for corporate, academic, sabbatical or leisure stays.

Original Modern Art Works in Most Rooms Means the Artistic Vibe of NDS is Real

B/W Diptych 2004 by Tony Twigg: From a show at the Ray Hughes Gallery after having worked in the Phillipines – moving on from the idea of narrative in Art – local and specific to local concerns to abstraction. Freed from limitations of specific interpretation abstraction can speak across cultures accommodating idiosyncratically different culturally specific interoperations. (Ground Floor Apartment Den) Travelling home 2000
Is reconstructed from a piece that was part of Tony Twigg’s 1998 exhibition at Galleria de la Islas in Manila.
The exhibit featured a series of suitcases presented as sculptures and as paintings.
The works in the show tracked the beginnings Tony’s relationship with the Philippines
and more generally Asia that has become central to both his life and his work.
